One thing is for certain, every time you pick up a C.K. Brooke novel you are sure to be taken on a thrilling adventure with amazing characters. The Wrong Prince was no different and by the end of this book I was on such a high.
C.K. has a knack for breathing life into well-developed and endearing characters; heros and heroines who will steal your heart and have you swooning. She also loves putting them through their paces, and there were a few moments throughout this book that made me gasp as my heart leapt into my throat.
The complexity of the relationships in this story made it all the more superb. The misunderstanding that led to heartache for both Geo and Lucie – keeping them at odds with each other even as they fought to ignore the feelings that continued to simmer below the surface. Where Geo and Lucie were all fiery determination, Dmitri and Pavi were a sweet duo; their affections built on their joint love for knowledge and the written word. It was a real pleasure to witness the blossoming of their relationship, giving one hope that perhaps all would work out just as it should, and that everyone would find happiness and their rightful place in the world.
This story was exciting. It spoke to the romantic adventurer in me, capturing my imagination and enthralling me to no end. Another masterpiece from this wonderful author.
