Review: Indelible by Bethany Lopez

Hello, Therians?

Have you read Bethany Lopez's, Indelible, yet??

Check out my review below, and why not grab a copy while you're at it :)

After a year of partying, Sam decides to buckle down and focus on college. Things are going great until a one-night stand leaves her pregnant and alone. Raising a child while going to school isn’t easy, but Sam is determined to be strong for her daughter. She doesn’t have time for guys or relationships, and takes great care to protect her child and her heart.

Judd doesn’t fit the mold of a college ballplayer. His long hair and tattoos may fit the life he’s created for himself, but baseball is the one thing he takes seriously. When he meets Sam, he’s immediately drawn to her curves and refusal to put up with his crap. When Judd learns the truth, can he handle the responsibility that comes with loving a single mother?

Sam yearns for the fire that Judd fuels in her, but her child’s needs have to come first. Can two people at different stages in their life find a way to make a life together?

REVIEW

I have really grown to love contemporary romances. There's just something about them that speaks right to my heart, and Indelible was no different.

Firstly, I loved that Sam was a REAL woman. She didn't have a perfect body, but she embraced it...kinda :). She's such an amazing, strong character, with her head in the right direction. She had quite a fierce determination that saw her accomplishing her dreams, even with the obvious curveball or two thrown at her.
Judd was very sweet. He was carefree, and even though he was a typical college guy, he proved his worth when he stuck with Sam, even after finding out about Karrie. He was so gorgeous with her and it wasn't hard to see why Sam fell in love with him. I was a little surprised at how easily he stepped into the boyfriend role, though, especially when he and Sam both agreed that they weren't looking for a relationship. It seemed like neither of them had a problem when their relationship progressed to full blown love.
But, I guess that's what happens when the right person comes along.

I enjoyed Sam and Judd's story, I just wish there had been a little more to it. There was plenty of sexual tension and chemistry, but there was just something lacking. Perhaps I'm used to more drama in these types of books, but it seemed that the only thing standing in their way was the accidental return of Karrie's father, and then the final decision of whether Judd should give up on his success or continue his dream. Now that might seem like enough drama for anyone to have to handle, but I really expected more.

Having said that, I did really love this book. It gave me the warm a fuzzies. I just have one question to ask...where can I find a guy like Judd?? :)

I give it...
