For each of my zombie ebooks I have had a great deal of help from former soldiers, but this novel about the zombie apocalypse has required some specialized research. I am very grateful to the helicopter pilots and special forces operatives who guided me through the combat encounters in the book. Their contributions added greatly to the extensive zombie warfare sequences.

The new master of
zombie horror has done it again with another exciting read filled with
suspense, gore and plenty of heart.
I can only imagine
the feeling of coming back after a long trip at sea to the chaos and
destruction that Steve and his men faced. The
terror and confusion of the unknown, the fear for the safety of those they held
dear. It was heart-breaking.
This was a fast, but
well-paced read that saw the final two men fight for their lives to get out of
the hell they found themselves in, only for them to be tossed into a darker
more personal hell, where secrets and lies could no longer be contained.
As I read this book I
found myself glancing over my shoulder every now and then. There were some
really eerie moments throughout this book – moments that kept me on the edge of
my seat, as the tension built and all hope dwindled. This book had a few
surprises, but the biggest came at the end with a brilliant manoeuvre that
would ultimately save the world, but also serve revenge on a golden platter.
