 REVIEW

I am a huge fan of Moore's and it was really great to see something a little different from her, but that still had all the emotion she pours into her writing.

I was extremely intrigued from the get go. Why had Prentiss and the others been taken? Where was everyone else? Who were these strange people whom had kidnapped them? And, what were they?

Like Prentiss I was a little skeptical that her captors were from another planet, but as the story developed, little hints had me thinking that perhaps there was more to them. There was a lot of mystery surrounding the circumstances of Prentiss and the other's being taken, and as she tried to uncover the truth and find a way out, I was hooked to my Kindle, waiting for answers.

Prentiss was a feisty character, but was also really soft hearted and saw the best in everyone. She was a simple girl with a simple dream of what she wanted in life, and I had a strong feeling that even though it was her dream to live on a farm with Jackson for the rest of her life, it felt like she was settling - with him anyway. He was her escape and he'd also become her constant, so much so that the thought of not being with him hadn't even crossed her mind. So, even though she fought for freedom, to get away from the camp and find Jackson, her real freedom had already been given to her. She'd been given the chance to stand on her own two feet, without him around, and she was finally able to acknowledge her own strengths.

This story was exciting, filled with action and adventure, and with just enough romance that it didn't drive the story, but it most definitely will satisfy those who love a great love story - because this was one of acceptance and friendship. It was a great read.
