Release Blitz: Review: Dared by Kristina Borden

Title: Dared (The Boneyard Bad Boy Series)
Author: Kristina Borden
Model: Robert Simmons
Photographer : Cassandra Roop (PINK INK DESIGNS)

Damien:

I am Damien Cole. Manager of Dallas' Top Tattoo Shop "The Boneyard."

I play the game by my own set of rules. I discard women left and right.

Their only purpose is to cater to my sexual appetite. No woman will ever tame my bad boy ways. I am at the top of my game.

Summer:

I am Summer Montgomery. My face has graced magazine covers all across the world. My looks will deceive you. I am a bad girl with a smart ass mouth and the attitude to back it up. Playing with me is like playing with fire. I will consume you and swallow you whole.

When faced with temptation, which of these two badasses will fall first?

Summer's fierceness was what snagged me right at the very beginning of this great read. She took no shit, and I liked that she refused to let Cameron, any man for that matter, walk all over her. But even though she is a strong, powerful female MC, she wasn't a complete ball buster. She dished it out when it was necessary, and I loved her for it.

Damien is the perfect bad boy. He too takes no prisoners, doesn't apologize for his womanizing ways, and is sexy as hell. Although his player ways would be a total turn off in the real world, fiction caters to my fantasies and Damien certainly is a fantastic book boyfriend.

The story flowed really well, but, I do feel that there was a bit of an info dump right at the beginning of the book. Just after meeting the characters I was basically given the entire backstory to why things weren't so great between Summer and Damian. I felt it would have been better for this info to be conveyed in smaller doses throughout the book. It does come up as the story develops and I think that was enough to give me an idea of what had gone down in the past.

It was obvious from the second they laid eyes on each other that they still held an intense chemistry, and I was excited to see that spark re-ignite. There was plenty of sexual tension, and boy did these two people know how to push each others buttons - in every good, and bad, way - which made for an emotional and thrilling read.

I enjoyed meeting all the characters, and look forward to seeing more of the Boneyard Bad Boys as their stories unfold.
