SYNOPSIS

Lost. That one single word best describes my life at this very moment. I lost the last games of the season and both my team and my coach blame me. I lost the last two months because I drowned in my own despair like a complete loser. And I lost the only girl who ever mattered because I was afraid being with me would destroy her.

But now I realize how truly lost I am without her. She has become my story…and even though she acts like she’s moved on, I know she still thinks about me just as much as I think about her. She’s beautiful, sweet—and so damn vulnerable, all I want to do is help her. Be there for her. Love her…

If only I could convince Fable to give me a second chance. Then I wouldn’t feel so lost anymore, and neither would she. We could be found together.

Forever.

REVIEW

This book is a reminder of why I have fallen in love with the Contemporary Romance genre so much.

I read it in one sitting, and there were tears aplenty. My heart still aches for the characters, and all the trials and tribulations they had to go through to find and keep their love.

Drew and Fable are two broken souls searching for acceptance and love. Together, they are perfection.

Drew is sweet. A genuine guy who has lived with a  horrible secret that sucked the very life from him. He is somewhat reserved, but comes to life when he is with Fable. Throughout this book we get to see many sides of him, some that he himself doesn't even know he has until Fable walks back into his life.

Fable on the other hand is quite outspoken. She's a born fighter, mostly because she was forced to grow up quickly and fend for herself as well as her younger brother. I really enjoyed the times she spent with Owen. It was great to see a character that wasn't so love-struck that she forgot about everyone else around her. When Owen needed her she was there for him. I also loved how Owen stood up for his sister.

The chemistry between the two MCs was off the charts. I want to cry just thinking about how amazing they were together. With smoking hot sex scenes and beautiful intimate moments shared, I couldn't pull my eyes from my Kindle. I loved that their path to love was not a bed of roses. Each day was a personal fight for them to trust, love and believe in each other, because both had their fair share of insecurities.

As I mentioned earlier, I shed more than a few tears reading this book, but I really balled my eyes out at two particular moments, and I believe they deserve a special mention in this review, without giving too much away that is.

The first involves a certain tattoo on a certain toned, muscular body. Beautiful.
The second is right at the end of the book. Also a poem, but with a little something extra. If you miss it, you haven't been reading close enough. Go back and check again :)

Here's a clue: The sale of MARSHMALLOWs is about to go through the roof.

Although I haven't read the first book, One Week Girlfriend, and I'm going to make a point of reading it soon, I fell right into this book without feeling too lost. Murphy does a great job allowing to this story to flow whilst also giving her reader a little back story that stems from book one. But if you haven't read the first book, I suggest you grab a copy of both and immerse yourself in this beautiful series.

It deserves a million times more, but as rating systems go, it gets...
