Hello Therians!

Welcome to the final day in the Cephrael's Hand Blog Tour, hosted by Novel Publicity. This epic fantasy tale penned by the amazing Melissa McPhail did not disappoint and fans of this genre NEED to get their hands on this book!!

SYNOPSIS

"All things are composed of patterns..." And within the pattern of the realm of Alorin, three strands must cross:

In Alorin...three hundred years after the genocidal Adept Wars, the realm is dying, and the blessed Adept race dies with it. One man holds the secret to reverting this decline: Bjorn van Gelderan, a dangerous and enigmatic man whose shocking betrayal three centuries past earned him a traitor's brand. It is the Adept Vestal Raine D'Lacourte's mission to learn what Bjorn knows in the hope of salvaging his race. But first he'll have to find him...

In the kingdom of Dannym...the young Prince Ean val Lorian faces a tenuous future as the last living heir to the coveted Eagle Throne. When his blood-brother is slain during a failed assassination, Ean embarks on a desperate hunt for the man responsible. Yet his advisors have their own agendas, and his quest for vengeance leads him ever deeper into a sinuous plot masterminded by a mysterious and powerful man, the one they call First Lord...

In the Nadori desert...tormented by the missing pieces of his life, a soldier named Trell heads off to uncover the truth of his shadowed past. But when disaster places him in the debt of Wildlings sworn to the First Lord, Trell begins to suspect a deadlier, darker secret motivating them.
REVIEW

A man may rule his household,
And a King govern his land,
But Death walks in the thrall of Cephrael’s Hand.”

I don’t often read epic fantasy novels, with their complex world systems and strange characters with even stranger, unpronounceable names, but I was pleasantly surprised by this book.

I have to admit though, that at first I felt like I kept being thrown off track, because just as I was getting to know a character they would disappear and a new one would be introduced. But what started off as confusing soon melded into a fantastic plot with many twists and surprises. The thing I love most about fantasy novels are the magical worlds, complex characters and imaginative creatures that dwell within the pages of these books. McPhail brings to life a fascinating world filled with Mages, Healers and a number of other beings whom each play an integral part in bringing balance to the mystical world in which they live. With mesmerising creatures like the Sundragons and terrifying beasts like the Darkhounds, I was enthralled and just couldn’t stop reading.

With each flip of my wrist I was drawn in further. I had to know more about each character, I had to know how they were all connected, if at all, and what fate had in store for them. The story is filled with plenty of emotion, and each aspect will surely please each and every readers’ desire for a great read. Action, adventure, heartache, romance and betrayal make up the very “Elae” of this book in a beautiful way.

Readers of epic fantasy novels will devour this book in no time.

I give it
