Are you a plotter or a pantser? Why?

I’m both, actually. I try to plot, but sometimes the characters don’t want to cooperate. They are quiet and don’t want to talk until it’s time for them to. Other times, it’s the complete opposite and they characters refuse to be quiet. Like right now, I’m supposed to be working on the second novel in the Their Sins series and my Camp NaNoWriMo characters are talking. So I’m plotting that out in hopes when they are done talking, I can get back to Double Crossed.
