REVIEW

I'm absolutely blown away by how amazing this series is. With each book it just gets better and better.

I loved that WitchLove focused more of Jess' witch heritage, as she left Manchester and headed to Boston to learn the ways of her coven. Even though she left on the pretense that she had to master her spell-wielding skills and reach level six to get her license, Jess also had to leave everything she knew, so she could find herself, before deciding if Daniel would be allowed back into her heart. Jess has grown so much from the first book and I love how strong and independent she has become.

Brittany is a great sub for Eva. She is young and innocent but also has lots of spunk. I particularly loved it when she asked Jess if American blood tasted different to British blood. It was also interesting to learn more about her, and her family. Although this caused more trouble for everyone, it resulted in an exciting and explosive battle.

Mills crafts an intriguing story with plenty of twists and turns, and you never really know what to expect. With a great mix of supernatural powers, magic and tons of mayhem, this book enthralled me to the very end.

And, oh wow, what and end it was! The epilogue had me voicing a number of acronyms ranging from OMG to WTH.

I have to have the next book in this series...NOW!!!!

It gets...

REVIEW

This book was even more exciting and explosive than the first. I couldn’t put it down and read it in only a few hours.

I was happy to see Jess more accepting of her new life, making her less whiny than in WitchBlood. As her transformation progressed with the help of her initiation, so Jess became more confident and independent. She no longer had to contend with bond that tied her to Daniel, and it was great that she was able to explore her feelings for him without it.

I really love the twist Mills has put on the vampire myth. I love how different Jess is, and the amazing abilities her witch blood has afforded her.

Each of the characters within this story has made their way into my heart, although I’m still on the fence about Luke. He has a long way to go before he’ll be deemed deserving of a place. Daniel, on the other hand, I adore. My heart shattered at the end of this book and I can’t wait to jump straight into book 3, if for nothing else but my sanity, because my broken heart could use some mending.

If you love vampires, but want something different, don’t hesitate to grab this series.

REVIEW

I was so excited to be given the opportunity to read this amazing book.

The story is fast paced, thrilling and there is never a dull moment, as Jess tries to settle into her new life as vampire. But there is far more to her than meets the eye and I was enthralled as the mystery of her true bloodline was uncovered. The story adds a new twist to the ever popular vampire myth, with a uniqueness that was quite refreshing.

I did find Jess to be a little whiny at first, but then I guess with everything she was going through it was acceptable. Her entire life had been destroyed and her hurt and confusion only fueled her anger at becoming a submissive vampire (at least that’s what was expected of her) who would no longer get to see the people she loved. The fact that they were so close must have been torture.
This book is filled with many interesting characters. I loved Eva, she was kick-ass!! And Daniel…hmm…sweet, caring, undead Daniel. He was so patient with Jess and the special little moments shared between them sent a jolt of joy through my heart. I enjoyed the way their relationship developed. Even though Jess was attracted to him from the first time she saw him, she didn’t fall head-over-heels. And Daniel never once pushed her to feel something more for him.

This book really drew me in and I couldn’t put it down. Readers of paranormal romances will love this story. If you are tired of the usual vampire story, grab a copy of WitchBlood, it will not disappoint.

I love this series. I can hardly wait until the 3rd book, WitchLove is released… This is a series that I will look forward to re-reading just as the new book is ready for release.”
Carrie, book reviewer at OnceUponATwilight.com

The characters feel real, the world feels authentic, and the story literally throbs with an underlying intensity that builds with each page. In short, Witchblood is an imaginative, satisfying read that still manages to leave the reader hungry for more.
