REVIEW

Thrilling from start to finish, this multifaceted story took all of my favorite aspects from a number of different genres and combined them into one heart-breaking but kick ass read. It was like a mashup of some of my most loved series', including the likes of Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and The Night Watchmen series, but with its own unique qualities that made it stand out from the rest. I loved everything about it.

While book one was a great introduction to Scarlett, the Orders, and the Nephilim war, I enjoyed how this book gave me more insight into the goings on in Castle V and the Initiate program. It was also great to see Scarlett make some friends and for her to gain some sort of normalcy back, between all the chaos, secrets, and lies.

Although I love Jax, Kai was super amazing and sweet, once he stopped being a royal douche. And, with all the complications between Jax and Star, it was good to see her with someone who seemed to truly accept her in every way. I had to wonder though if Jax would be as accepting is she just gave him half a chance. I also had to wonder about his whereabouts throughout the story, even though I had an inkling as to where he might be, and I was glad to see I was right.

This story was a complex, twisted web of deceit, that saw alliances built on lies crumble to the ground as they destroyed Nightfall's world more than the Orders ever could. It was a constant game of cat and mouse as she fought for justice and freedom, which meant going against those she's shared a common goal with as well as those who were her enemies, proving that trust is a fickle thing.

With many surprises hidden in the pages of this book, I was constantly on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. But, OMG, the events at the tournament knocked the breath out of me and saw me turn into an emotional basket case. My heart was ripped from my chest, and I had to stop reading because I couldn't see past my tears.

And, then, to top it off, the Epilogue unleashed so many questions in my mind and had it working overtime. All I can say is that I need the next installment in this series, as in yesterday. Absolutely brilliant.

WOW!! What an epic finale to this amazing series that has left me breathless, broken my heart and crushed my soul, but also lifted my spirits, made me fall in love and left me giddy and excited.

The brilliance that is Karpov Kinrade is absolutely awe-inspiring. It seems that anything they touch becomes a masterpiece and I'm starting to wonder if the powers they write about are more fact than fiction. With spell-binding storytelling that captured me from the very first book and had me enthralled until the very end. I love how this duo has managed to intertwine their different series and sagas. First by bringing together their characters from The Forbidden Trilogy and The Seduced Saga, and finally introducing us to the world of The Twilight Court and the Nephilim we learn so much about in The Nightfall Chronicles.

I was so excited to jump back into the action and adventure with these much loved characters. They had been tested to the limits previously, and this book was sure to take them to their breaking point as they continued to battle an evil that threatened everything they lived for. Lies and deceit were the name of the game and I have to say I was completely taken off guard when the culprit was revealed. Looking back, there were so many hints left along the way, but I was so engrossed in the story that I never even realized until it was too late.

Epic. Spectacular. Enthralling. Magical. Wicked. Heartrending. A stellar read!!

  REVIEW   Move over Magic Mike, Lachlan Pierce has arrived!   Vi was one of my favorite characters in Hitched, and I was so excited to find out she'd be getting her own story. And, My God was is a HOT one!!   The sexual chemistry between Vi and Lach was palpable from the get go and it was more a question of when they'd get together, than if. And when they did, it was explosive, passionate and sexy as hell.   What I really loved about this book was how fun the characters all were, and I really have to give a big shout out to Vi's parents. OMG! They were hilarious and brilliant. I also enjoyed the way Vi and Lach's relationship grew and developed, and the small changes I started seeing in each of them the deeper they fell. It was also great that neither of them was harboring some huge big secret or a dark past that would eventually threaten to tear them apart. They faced minor obstacles but were able to find their way through each.   Lach was actually such a sweet guy. At first glance he seemed to be a real player, and yes he was, but his dedication and loyalty to Vi showed him to be something completely different. I liked seeing many different sides of him. And the paintball scene was a hoot! I loved seeing this big, strong guy having his ass, and other body parts, handed to him while his girl kicked ass - for the most part anyway.   If you are looking for a fun and sexy read that will be sure to melt your ereader, this is the book to grab. It was a quick, witty read filled with characters you'll fall in love with.

A thrilling start to what I expect to be a spectacular series from the bestselling duo, Karpov Kinrade, I was instantly sucked into this story. I will admit, though, that this book was quite different from what I was expecting. I imagined it to be purely fantasy based, with paranormal beings in a fantasy world, so I was pleasantly surprised to find it took place on earth, and had a great mix of normal and paranormal beings.

Scarlett was likable from the very first second she was introduced. The struggles she faced in her desire to reach her dream gave her an innocent, human quality, however, her determination to see her dreams come true, not matter what stood in her path, showed a more fierce individual; one to be respected. And this fierceness showed through in every decision she made throughout the book.

Everything seemed pretty normal for Scarlett, until it all fell apart, and she realized her life had been built on secrets and lies. Thrown into a new existence, having to face many changes and to accept the truths that had been hidden from her, Scarlett had many choices to make. Although, on the outside, the Orders seemed to be fighting for the right cause, deep within the walls of Castle V, there was plenty corruption and deception, making me wonder if they could be trusted in any way. And then there was Zorin, a being she never would have imagined teaming up with. It felt like Scarlett had more faith in him than she did in, Jax, her lifelong friend. I could, however, understand her hesitancy in trusting someone who had lied to her and kept secrets; some of Jax’s behaviour was questionable, even though he, in his own way, seemed to after the same outcome as she was.

In a fight for truth, freedom and justice, Scarlett and her new alliances have a great battle before them. One I am only too eager to see come alive in the pages of the other books in this series. Part X-men, part Nikita, this book was filled with suspense and intrigue – and by that epilogue, this story is a twisted web of lies just waiting to be unravelled.

Sexy, fun and flirty - there was just so much to love about this book!

I was hooked from the very first page (and not only because of a wet, naked Sebastian Donovan, although, it was a great visual to open this book with :P) but, because I immediately could tell that this book was going to be an emotional ride full of romance, humor, sensuality, drama, and a fantastic cast of characters who were easy to fall in love with.

Kacie, Tate and Vi were the perfect threesome. I enjoyed their witty comments and playful banter, and I'd really love to see more of Kacie's twin and BFF. Then, of course, there was the drop dead gorgeous, melt my heart Dr Sexy! My. God. He was a stunning male specimen, - a gentleman, sexy and charming without being a sleazeball, and a man who knew all the right things to say without coming off as a player. And, the fact that he healed children...yeah! Karpov Kinrade have got a pantie igniting phenomenon on their hands here!

This book steamed up my Kindle or more than one occasion. With explosive chemistry between Kacie and Sebastian, there was no denying how perfect they were for each other. Even in the moments when they weren't heating up my ereader, they were a cute couple who seemed to fit perfectly into each others lives, and I wanted to shake Kacie every time she denied their compatibility. But, of course, it took her losing the best thing in her life for her to face her worst fears, and to realize just what she was missing out on. It also helped her realize that perhaps she can have it all. With the right man at her side to help boost her instead of stifle her. And, Sebastian Donovan was that man in more ways than one.
