REVIEW
I really liked Skye when I met
her in Rumor Has It and I was excited
to read her story. I was a little surprised that she was so prim and proper (or
seemed to be) because in the first book in the Limelight Series she came off as kinda being the
opposite.
Either way, she was a great
character and her story intrigued me. Of course, Mr Steele only added to this
story’s hotness factor, and the sexual tension between these two characters has
smoking. Their relationship started off with a bang – well, almost – but once
the realization hit that they’d be working together things simmered down a bit,
only to grow into something so much more than it might have been had they done
any more the night they’d first met.
One thing that really stands out
when reading Grace’s work is the positivity and strong message she delivers
with each story. And of course I agree, no man (or for that matter woman)
should ever lay a hand on their partner in violence. It is not acceptable.
This book wasn’t quite as
exciting as the first book in this series, but I did enjoy watching Skye and
Landon’s love blossom and bloom. They were both passionate about the things
that really mattered to them and although certain occurrences could have been
handled differently, I liked how real this couple felt. This was an enjoyable
and entertaining read.
