He tightened his grip on her shoulder. “You might own a fucking country, but tonight...I own you. Understood, Princess?”

She gasped, her stomach tightening at his naughty words. She’d never, ever been spoken to like that. Never talked dirty. It was a heady rush that she was doing it now. Here. With him. “I understand.”

He lowered his face to hers, their lips a scant inch apart.
 

“Are you sure you want this? I’m only going to ask you this one time. You’re a grown ass woman, so I won’t ask you if you’ve changed your mind every other step we take toward that bed.”

“I want this.” She reached out and curled her hands around his nape, her fingers brushing the soft curl that rested just below his ear. “I want you.”

“Then you’re mine,” he said. “You have been since you sat next to me in that coffee shop.”
She nodded frantically, needing him to get on with it. To claim her. “Yes. I’m yours.”

He growled and closed the distance between them, his lips crashing to hers. The second they touched, she knew that this would be unlike any experience she’d ever had. REVIEW

 

 

This was a fun and exciting read. It is also sure to satisfy any erotic fantasies you have with the explosive sex scenes that make up quite a bit of the story. Cooper and Kayla couldn’t get enough of each other, and that flight scene was…whew…*fans self* It made me want to rake up those frequent flyer miles.

Now, before I get too hot and bothered *winks* I have to admit that this book was a little too predictable. There were a few things thrown in near the beginning that I just knew would come up later in the story, and there were a few “awww” moments when they did; because even though I was expecting them, who doesn’t like a great romantic gesture that sees someone conquering their fears at the same time, right? It showed the character’s vulnerability, but the strength of their love at the same time.

If you are looking for something quick and fun to fill your bookshelf or eReader, look no further. The great chemistry between Kayla and Cooper was entertaining, and as they unwittingly fell in love, my heart melted for these two wonderful people. They overcame their fears and insecurities, which made way for what really matters – living your life without any hold ups, and sharing it with that special someone who captures your heart when you're not even looking.

REVIEW

I'm a huge fan of Diane Alberts, but even though this was a fun, quick read, I didn't quite feel the passion and emotions I've come to expect from her novels. I felt very disconnected from this story as a whole.

At times it was a little predictable, but I did enjoy the romance aspect - even the cheesy karaoke serenade. I also really liked that Ethan, no matter how gorgeous and manly he had become, still had those little quirks that Ashley loved so much about him when he was a boy. They were a cute couple and it was great that their relationship was one built over time; even though it was broken and needed some major repairing, I got the sense that they knew each other well enough that even though they made a deal to keep things "no strings attached", they both knew that deep down they still cared enough that neither would want to walk away, or lose what they had, after rekindling their friendship after so many years. 

Readers looking for a quick, romantic read will enjoy this story.
