I've really enjoyed this series, but this was probably my favorite book from all of them. The more I get to know Mark and the more I get to see him with his family and also with Crystal, the bigger the soft spot I hold for him becomes. He's an enigma. Dark, mysterious, broken but deep down he has a warm gooey center.
His relationship with Crystal was hot then cold, filled with plenty of sexual tension and smoking hot chemistry. Both looking for something completely different that what either could give each other, but so perfect together it was impossible for them to ignore the passion and sparks that exploded every time they were close.
Aside for the sensuality of this story, there was still the deadly threat that hung over Mark and everyone he held dear. A threat that was so palpable that I felt like I was holding my breath every step of the way just incase Ava or one of her cronies pitched up.
Thoroughly intriguing and suspenseful, this book held my attention from start to finish. A spectacular read and great addition to the rest of the series!
