Genre- Paranormal Romance
Megan has never had what most would call a normal life.
Her childhood and teen years were spent on the run with her family, hiding from a horror so great it defines their world. Friends and homes are traded at a moment’s notice to escape from their worst nightmares.
Years pass, and her mother settles down with her new step-father, a kind man who does his best to protect them. Life lulls into a safe pace, and Megan finally feels as though she has control of her future for the first time in her life. But that peace is shattered with the arrival of a new family member, one that bears a striking resemblance to a savior of her past…
Confused by her deep emotional connection to him, things unravel fast. She learns that the people she lives with, even her own family, are not what they seem. Her only friend who helped her piece her life back together changes overnight, and she is left dealing with the fallout on her own…
As events unfold, Megan finds herself face to face with the horror that has haunted her since childhood. But will she be able to escape from her twisted bloodline?
REVIEW
I found the start of this book to be a bit rushed and I believe this was done in an effort to get the actual story going, but to also add some back story, while allowing the reader to be introduced to certain key characters. Once Megan learned the truth about her heritage and the reason her father was such a monster, the story eased up a bit, and I was able to enjoy it more.
This book was quite sexual, and while I found the elements of incest a bit disturbing, it was great to have a story that was so honest and open. Jackson never tried sugar coating things, and even though it made me cringe at times, it came with the territory and I could fully understand the characters reactions to certain events.
Megan's father has to be the most despicable character I have ever encountered, and I cannot wait for the day when karma pays him a visit. This book was intense, heart-breaking, but also one filled with hope and love. A good start to this series.

REVIEW
My
heart was in shreds when I first met Callie. To be brutalized the way she was
at the hands of Deacon and his men was sickening, and I was hoping she'd find
some solace. Devon was the perfect match for her and as Callie learned the
truth about her family I was glad she had him and his family to lean on.
Once
again, Deacon's reach was sure to rain havoc, and Callie found herself at the
hands of a monster, trying to protect those she cared about. To top it off she
had to contend with the fact that her feelings to Devon were totally forbidden
which only added to the chaos, especially with the introduction of Luke.
Her
punishment was cruel, and even though Luke stepped in to help I have to wonder
what his end game is. His dislike for the panthers is obvious, so perhaps his
intentions weren’t as admirable as they seem. I look forward to more from this
series.

REVIEW
Trey has been an intriguing character from the beginning. With his special bond with Megan, that only added fuel to the fire, I was excited to learn more about him. Talia was a great addition to this series, and I loved that she added something new and unique to the shifter world. Not only was she an outcast to her own people but having been cursed the way she was only seemed to dampen her spirit, although she was still feisty when need be.
There was an obvious attraction between Trey and Talia and I couldn't wait to see them explore it more. Of course, that would have to wait as they battled the forces that have plagued these characters from the very beginning, as well as the threat that hung over Talia.
Once again, it seemed that deacon had his finger in all the drama and I have to wonder if his vindictiveness has any end. This book left me one the edge of my seat and with so many questions, and I cannot wait to see where the next installment will lead.

REVIEW
This was my favorite book from the entire series so far. By now I feel like one of the family, and with everything that has transpired in the first three books I have become very protective of these characters - especially where Deacon is concerned.
It was great to get to know Sean and Paul better (my heart broke for Paul in the last book), and I was also excited to see more of Jase and Luke. Things started off tense between this foursome, with Becky only adding to their discomfort, but by the end of the book they'd been through so much together, I can only hope that they will learn to accept each other a bit more.
As the story developed, so the more complex things became. The addition of new characters certainly stirred things up as each of the men had to deal with major changes that only meant more drama for them.
I was completely appalled by how twisted Deacon was and the sick game he continues to play with his family is just shocking. As new details of an even more devious plot were revealed, so the intrigue skyrocketed. I can only imagine how much more thrilling this series will become, and if the final conversation is anything to go by, it is going to be explosive. I cannot wait for more.
